We´re gonna take a little trip, take a little trip da-da-daaa. Actually, we´re taking a big trip. We´re going to Argentina to learn Spanish. Why did we choose this country? We don´t really have an answer… mostly because it´s a South American country we haven´t been to, we hear they have a pretty accent and that they serve lot of meat. We fly into Buenos Aires on a one-way ticket on January 7th 2012 and with plans to return to Portland, Oregon about a year after that. Our first stop is the provence of Cordoba, Argentina where we will work on a small biodynamic farm in a town called Villa General Belgrano. We should be there about three months, perhaps a little longer if they´ll keep us. Care packages are highly encouraged. (Please send no later than the first week in March, since we´re not sure how long the mail takes, and we don´t want to miss any goodies.)
The address is:
(please note that commas below mean a new line)
Nuria y Diego, c. c. 64, 5194 Villa Gral. Belgrano, Cordoba, Argentina
After the farm, we´re not sure where we´ll go. Maybe another farm, maybe to visit friends in Chile or Brazil. We´ll be gone as long as the money last… or if a dream job in Portland makes itself available. We´ll see. Anyway, wish us luck!!
Thanks everyone for your support!
”Our first stop is Cordoba, Argentina where we will work on a vegetable and goat!”
Goat mechanics?
Seriously. “Work on a goat.” I am jealous.
I wish you both good luck on your adventure!!!
love the Karlsson family
hola michelle and graham-uncle chris here. Annie and I are at Abuela’s visiting her to help her with her taxes. We just got your website from the postcard you sent to Grandma and decided to check it out. Sounds like it is hard physical work but you are probably getting stronger and stronger, physically and wholistically.
We are loving being Grannie Annie and Gampa to Kaiser Diego King (22mos.). He is the greatest joy of our lives!! We miss your mama but know she is having a wonderful time and will be back soon.
Abuela is trying to plan a trip back east to see uncle Maury who is still hanging onto life by a thread.
Anyway, let us know that you got this and maybe I can teach Abeula how to run her new laptop.
Love ya a lot.
